A concise chronology of the Adi Brahmo Samaj
"Only Knowledge is Supreme"

The present Adi Brahmo Samaj premises at Chitpur Road (Jorasanko, Kolkatta) were inaugurated on 11th Magh, 1236 (BE) or 23rd January, 1830. By the Deed of Banian (Trust) executed by Prince Dwarkanauth Tagore zamindar, Ram Chunder Vidyabagish pundit and other Brahmins the premises are entrusted in perpetuity for the orderly and sober public meeting, worship and adoration of the formless Eternal Being and other high moral or charitable purposes.
